What You Should Be Watching | JennaDelRey

This month I've set out on a new mission to create more videos than I ever have. I kick-started things with my One Direction video, and if you haven't seen it yet, you can watch that here (yes I'm spamming you once again). Also, I've been tweeting a lot more from my JennaDelReyTV twitter, so if you want to check out my silliness I'll post a link here. Mostly I go off on fangirl type stuff and announce some updates.

Over the past week or two I've been moving into my new house at school so I haven't been totally YouTube active, but I'm trying my best. I posted two new videos on my channel; a Red Lip Makeup Tutorial and a small August Favorites, so you should totally check those out!!! (:

If you enjoyed these videos at all PLEASE don't forget to subscribe, like the videos, and leave me a comment telling me what you want to see next or what you'd rather see!
I really hope you check these out and enjoy them! (:

DIY | Flash Tats

Nail color: Essie's Topless & Barefoot (new obsession)

I've been seeing these babies all over the blogosphere lately and only one thought popped into my head; I NEED THEM. Of course, I quickly went online to purchase a package for myself...and then I saw the price tag. Although $22 may seem somewhat reasonable for 4 sheets of these beautiful tattoos, I knew they wouldn't last long in my house. Since the tattoos only last for 1 week, I wanted to come up with an alternative that would allow me to create whatever I want, whenever I want.

I was walking into my room this morning and noticed a couple of sharpies from an old DIY project laying on my desk; one silver, one gold. A lightbulb switched on inside my head as I found my solution.

I've tried to tattoo myself in the past with metallic sharpies and they never seemed to come out very shiny, or how I pictured they would in my head. These sharpies differ in that they are essentially paint pens, of the "heavy duty" variety (I last used them to write on glass). The markers are oil-based paint pens in the colors metallic gold and metallic silver. You can get them at any local craft store, or you can buy the set of two from amazon for only $9 (the best deal IMO).

Now, I'm not advocating the use of sharpies on skin, as I imagine they can't be that good for you. But, I can recommend this alternative if you don't have sensitive skin and you want a temporary flash tat for a fraction of the cost!

Beauty Review | Effaclar Duo

So... it"s been a while since I've updated any of my sites because I've been so time consumed with studying for my summer class / work. But since my class finished yesterday, I'm freeeee!

I first noticed my skin getting oilier around my sophomore year in high school. Based on a recommendation of one of my friends, I tried Proactiv. I'm not going to lie, it worked wonders for my skin for many years! Recently, however, I think it's effects began to fade and my acne's gotten progressively worse and worse :(

I thought that maybe it's a good time to change my skin care routine, and explore other options that might better suit me. With that in mind, I thought, "Who do I know of that has perfect skin?!" My mind automatically wandered to one of my favorite, if not my favorite, beauty gurus on the inter web Tanya Burr. I went through many of her blog posts / videos on YouTube, which are AMAZING if you've never checked them out, and found a video describing her favorite beauty products of 2012. She swore by this product by La Roche-Posay called Effaclar Duo. Being that I live in the U.S., it was a bit on the pricier size for a small tube of product, but if Tanya swears by it, it must be good!

I started using the product just two days ago, and I must say, I'm VERY impressed. I can already see a difference! My pores are much smaller, my acne has reduced if not completely faded, my skin's no longer oily and my makeup stays put on my face all day! All I can really say is "wow", this product honestly is amazing. I mentioned before that the tube is somewhat small, but not only do you get what you pay for, but a little product goes a long way.

In a week or so, I plan on posting kind of a "check-in" video, and show you the results and differences I've personally noticed throughout my time using the product to give you a better idea of how it works. So stay tuned!
